MIT, Brown graduate, and Tufts Fletcher School students interested in cross-registration at FAS.
About
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences allows Harvard College and Harvard Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences students to cross register at other Harvard schools. Students from other Harvard schools may cross-register for courses at FAS. We also have a cross-registration agreement with MIT, Tufts Fletcher School, and Brown University.
Important: Beginning July 1, 2024, Harvard College students can take an unlimited number of cross-registration courses that will count towards their credits. These courses will not count towards your GPA (unless you receive a failing grade), regardless of the course counting towards your concentration credit or not.
When to cross register
As a general rule, you must cross register by the earliest possible deadline. Specific dates and deadlines for each school are included in the cross registration guides below.
For Harvard College and Harvard Griffin GSAS students
Please review the cross-registration guide for FAS students. If you plan to take courses through the MIT ROTC program, please see the information for MIT ROTC course crediting.
For MIT, Brown, Tufts Fletcher School, and non-FAS Harvard students
