About
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences allows Harvard College and Harvard Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences students to cross register at other Harvard schools. Students from other Harvard schools may cross-register for courses at FAS. We also have a cross-registration agreement with MIT, Tufts Fletcher School, and Brown University.
Important: Beginning July 1, 2024 for the Fall 2024 term, Harvard College students may take an unlimited number of cross registration courses, and the credits will count towards the College's overall 128 credit requirement. Courses taken may count toward concentration credit, but no courses will be included in GPA calculations (unless it is a failing grade). Please visit this page for more details.
When to cross register
As a general rule, you must cross register by the earliest possible deadline. Specific dates and deadlines for each school are included in the cross registration guides below.
For Harvard College and Harvard Griffin GSAS students
