Watch a 60-second overview of the my.harvard Sectioning Tool
The my.harvard Sectioning Tool is available to all courses with discussion sections, labs, studios, etc. Use it to move enrolled students into timed sections through the Add/Drop deadlineon Oct. 4.
Canvas sites are automatically generated for sections created in the tool. For help with Canvas sites contact Academic Technology.
Important: Do not edit placeholder sections!
Sections with no meeting time and a size of 999 should not be edited. Editing these sections will prevent students from enrolling in the course during the add/drop period. Contact us if you need to restore it.

Identify times your students are most available!
Meeting times are shaded green or orange based on your students' availability to meet at a day/time combination.
Suggested meeting times don’t take into account section times in which the student is already enrolled in, as they are typically more flexible.
How to Request Schedule Report
STEP 1
Collect the Course ID(s) for the courses you want included in your report.
STEP 2
Add your course information to the shared document. If youcannot access the document, email us your request.
Enter your request on one line.
In the first column, add the course's department and your name
(ex. GOV - John Harvard).
We'll email you the report shortly after the Registration Deadline.
