Since 2016, the FAS Registrar’s Office has partnered with the Institute of Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School and TurboVote to help students register to vote, request absentee ballots, and receive reminders about upcoming elections and voter deadlines.

During the online check-in process, students have the option to register with TurboVote. Registering for TurboVote only takes a few moments: Guidelines:

  • Students are eligible to vote if they are U.S. citizens and will be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day.
  • Students can register to vote in their home state or in Massachusetts.
  • Students can use TurboVote to request an absentee ballot if they are away during an election.

How to Register with TurboVote:

After Registering with TurboVote:

  • Students can subscribe to text and email reminders from TurboVote about upcoming deadlines and elections.
  • TurboVote will mail all required voter registration forms to students. To complete voter registration, students are required to sign the forms, apply provided stamps, and mail the forms.
