As a Department Administrator or House Administrator it is your responsibility to give new leadership or staff access to my.harvard or renew the appointments for existing members of the roster (this is also referred to as Managing an Advising Committee). If you are a House Academic Coordinator, you may also benefit from knowing how to update your roster in my.harvard.
Roles in my.harvard typically expire on December 31 or June 30. You can update your roster at any time, but you should review this at least once per term.
Roles that may need access to an advising committee include the following groups. These roles may lose access to my.harvard if you do not update your roster:
- Department Chairs
- Directors of Undergraduate Studies/Directors of Graduate Studies/Head Tutors
- Undergraduate/graduate program administrators
- Department Administrators
- Faculty Deans
- Resident Deans
- Academic Coordinators
- House Administrators
- Any other roles you have assigned through the roster
