The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (FERPA) is a federal law that gives students certain rights with respect to their education records. Any FAS faculty or staff member who works with student information and who is unfamiliar with FERPA should attend.

This training will provide a basic overview of FERPA. You are encouraged to attend if you are new to working with student information, new to FAS, or you are simply interested in refreshing your knowledge.
