Certification of Enrollment and Degree Verifications

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences Registrar’s Office issues all official degree verifications and enrollment certifications through The National Student Clearinghouse. This convenient online service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you need help or have questions about the National Student Clearinghouse’s certificate of enrollment or degree verification services, please contact them via email at service@studentclearinghouse.org or by phone at 703-742-4200.

Certificates of enrollment are available to current students enrolled in a Faculty of Arts and Sciences degree program. This is a free service. Certificates of enrollment include student name, degree program, dates enrolled, and expected graduation date. Students can download or print this information. The certificate of enrollment form is accepted by most insurance companies as an adequate form of verification. However, this document is not used for loan deferment verification. Lending institutions should contact service@studentclearinghouse.org for more information.

Degree verifications are available for alumni who have received a degree. Degree verifications contain alumnus/alumna name, dates of enrollment and degree received. Degree verifications can be requested by the alumna/alumnus or outside organizations/individuals (HR offices, background check companies, etc.). There is an associated fee for this service. From the drop-down menu, be sure to select HARVARD COLLEGE for Bachelor degree verifications, or HARVARD GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES for Master of Arts, Master of Science or PhD degree verifications.
