Certification of Enrollment and Degree Verifications

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences Registrar’s Office issues all official degree verifications through The National Student Clearinghouse. This convenient online service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you need help or have questions about the National Student Clearinghouse’s degree verification services, please contact them via email at service@studentclearinghouse.org or by phone at 703-742-4200.

Degree verifications are available for alumni who have received a degree. Degree verifications contain alumnus/alumna name, dates of enrollment and degree received. Degree verifications can be requested by the alumna/alumnus or outside organizations/individuals (HR offices, background check companies, etc.). There is an associated fee for this service. From the drop-down menu, be sure to select HARVARD COLLEGE for Bachelor degree verifications, or HARVARD GRADUATE SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES for Master of Arts, Master of Science or PhD degree verifications.

Electronic Certificates of Enrollment are currently unavailable. Please email registrar@fas.harvard.edu to request a letter of enrollment.
