    Fall 2023 Start of Term Refresher

    Welcome back! Dust off those cobwebs and let us help you get back into the groove of start term! In this session we go through all the different deadlines during the beginning of term and what they mean for students. We go into detail about the check-in, crimson cart and registration, holds and what that looks like for the students. We then talk about instructor permission and other types of approvals like Change of Grading basis and 6th course approval and what that looks like for instructors and advisers.  Whats new, who is new in the RO?

    In this training we will learn how to build timed secondary components for courses in the Schedule of Classes. This will allow students to enroll directly in their discussion sections for the spring 2024 semester during prior term registration.

    Advising Committees affect many aspects of what you can see and do in my.harvard.edu.  It's important to keep this updated and to have an understanding on how they impact how you use my.harvard.edu. Join us on zoom for a look at the best practices for maintaining committees and  how committees impact: 1) what students see, 2) graduation recommendations, and your ability to advise your students.
